A harp was suspended over David's bed. At midnight, a north wind would blow through it causing it to play. When David heard the music he would arise and engage in Torah study. When the people of Israel heard David's voice studying Torah, they said: "If David the king of Israel is studying Torah, certainly we too, must do so." Immediately they engaged themselves in Torah.
